Successful Food Event helps growth of a Food Resilience Network for Dorset

Following on from our series of Food Resilience meetings in 2024 Co-Organised with Help and Kindness, on January 27th a further meeting was held which invited those already working with food, as well as parish, town and county councillors to gather to see how we could support each other to create a local, sustainable, healthy, fair and affordable food system throughout the county.

To forge the links, join the dots, see what’s thriving and where the gaps were, so that we could work to create Food Resilience in Dorset.

This meeting included an ‘Open Mic’ session (community groups, growers, distributors, sellers, affordable and emergency food providers, etc.) to introduce their work as part of Dorset’s Food Map.

Jon Sloper from Help and Kindness and the Feeding Dorset Partnership & Candida Blaker from the Bridport Food Partnership set the scene for the evening with context for the meeting.
